No surprise there! Have you seen the iron ore price rocket!!!! WA would be raking it in.

The opposition can complain all they want, the truth is, WA in comparison to Victoria, has handled covid fantastically, and has been able to reopen their economy early, whilst stimulus would help all of Australia, a $1.7b surplus would be greatly appreciated by Scott Morrison and crew. WA did not need to spend this is FY21. They are absolute cash cows for Australia and would be the envy of the world in times like this. No COVID, iron ore, open economies and not to mention all the other commodities they also mine such as gold.

Regardless, the surplus has already been included in the economic stimulus budget for WA in FY21, an extra $1.7b to stimulate the economy in FY21, or $1.7b less in debt, either way, it is great and nothing to be snubbed at. Fantastic to see, to anyone in WA be proud of your state.
