WA's state Liberal party is floating the idea of changing the weekend trading hours that give MTS a monopoly on trading after 5pm on weekends and before 11am on Sundays. This was a concession given to the IGA Lobby by Colin Barnett when he finally deregulated WA's archaic retail trading laws.
It could impact IGA's revenue in WA. How much that will impact IGA's overall revenue I do not know. Just providing for information.
Other points to note is that the Liberal party will gain more seats than they currently hold but are probably unlikely to win
