More school buildings...and how does that produce ongoing cash flow in the counrty?
When they are built the benefit to employment ends.

In some countries ie Europe the schools have two sessions ,one in the morning and different students for the afternoon session,to better utilise their buildings and facilities.
Short sighted, non income producing and in a depression scenario a classroom is not a major need.
Goverment planners are not using any imagination to introduce something that would be a real nation building program.
Our local paper had a brilliant piece stating that Rudd was thinking short term and too small.
By dividing our wealth it cant really make a big impact just little wasteful ones. My large purchases have improved my life far more than all the little ones.

Keep the wealth combined and make a big impact to create ongoing income production that will benefit all and not lead to debt and more taxes.
It hasnt taken a lot of creativity to come up with this idea.imo.

I think the WA Premier might be swayed if he hears some better ideas...or perhaps those suggested for WA are ongoing income producing projects..something for the miners. It doesnt necessarily mean the whole plan is the best Australia can come up with.

Glad to see some arguement on this important step.
There are quite a lot of hobby businesses or shall I call them luxuries to occupy bored individuals and they might be first to fail..however these business were not essential.Perhaps they were tax minimising toys to occupy idle people.
Now is the time for serious essential businesses that deserve to survive and grow.

Australia has a lot of waste and frills that can be disposed off without hurting lifestyle.imo.

Statistics dont always show a complete picture and should be modified ...
Why support a hobby business that was set up to minimise tax with handouts of the countries hard earned surplus? Let them fail..if they must..and many will because the top end income earners have made large losses and will shut them down themselves...This is not necessarily a great loss or a correct measure of economic downturn, imo.

Many would be retailers that government is trying to prop up?? Why?

Turnbull got some reasons to stop and think..
