Names left off, as they are yet to respond.
All well and good for the lockdown, for 1 active positive result, however the goal posts keep moving, on the efficacy and effectiveness of wearing masks.
Medical advice between states, and overseas medical advice on this subject is being argued as we speak. Have you actually gone out, as a retail customer, and tried to purchase masks?
Impossible to find.
I wonder how quickly and voraciously, the government and public service would advocate for lockdown, if their salaries and tax payer supplied vehicles were taken away at the same time?
Segregating sick people is quarantine.
Quarantining healthy people is tyranny!
This lockdown is not proportionate to the problem at hand!
Why are people, still being quarantined in the heart of the city??
Why are you using Uber drivers as part time security, instead of police or military?
The testing, and infection reporting statistics, are not accurate, and have been manipulated for political purposes, from the start of this pandemic. Now a casedemic. We are told about cases, new strains, and people quarantined.
Of the current active cases; can you answer the following queries, or direct these questions to the acting CMO?
How many people in WA, are currently in quarantine?
How many people with Covid are currently in a serious condition?
How many people in ICU?
How many on ventilators?
How many have mild, or no discernible symptoms?
What is the current death to recovery ratio? What is the actual risk ratio of infection, to the general public? Why are you nor reporting these figures, to reassure the public, and prevent the ensuing and current media fanned fear and panic?
A couple of relevant points.
N95 masks are good at stopping particulates down to approximately 300 nanometre’s. It is a pity that the virus is reportedly, smaller than that. You have to be clean shaven, and fit tested, before they are in anyway effective. Also, the air breathed out is unfiltered.
I have worn masks as PPE before, and we are advised to change them every two hours, to prevent dangerous bacterial build up.
Bacterial build up both on the mask, and in the mouth.
The bacterial build-up, is especially prevalent in hot and humid conditions. I.e. What we are currently experiencing!!
So an eight hour day plus travel?? Let us say 5 masks a day for five days.
That means I will incur an expense over this five days of approximately 25x$7=$175 ( A very conservative price estimate)
Under the current lockdown ruling, if I cannot procure masks, I cannot leave my home, enter a shop or go to work.
May I say “house arrest”.
In closing;
I am assuming that all public service and essential service personnel, are having masks and PPE supplied from the public purse?
IF, and that is an arguable IF, the Chief Medical Officer is stipulating mandatory mask wear, to protect the entire W.A. populations health.
Why is the health department, not making masks freely available to the general public? Is the health department failing in its duty of care, by mandating and not supplying the correct masks required?
Waiting and anticipating some definitive comments, concerning my queries.
