There are some BIG iron ore mines about to kick off in the next 6-18 months, and lots of the FEED has been ramping up for months. Between Rio and BHP, they are shipping over 500Mt a year, that is a lot of ore. It doesn't take long to deplete even a big orebody at that sort of rate.
Yes they have all been ruthlessly cutting costs, and deferring capex, but that is about to change. New mines are going to be built soon, because others are starting to deplete. They don't have a choice.
If you're working for ESS as a kitchenhand you probably haven't seen any changes, but washing plates out the back isn't where the action is at.................
