I specifically asked the GP for Relenza on behalf of my sick spouse plus a pack for myself as a precauationary measure.
He was happy to oblige.
I had previously rung 2 pharmacies to check whether they stocked it. The first didnt but said they could get it in overnight (NSW country town).
The second pharmacy (large - centre of town) had a small supply. They indicated that they had supplied it previously for treating children with flu symptoms.
It poses the question as to what GSK is doing to market Relenza in Australia - information on efficacy to GPs and encouraging pharmacies to stock it?
