You should have gone out and bought a lottery ticket...that is a classic situation where a head on is almost inevitable. If you'd dived left as well it would have been curtains...the dope that overtook the truck must have been praying you wouldn't dive left as he headed right.
I drive a 4wd as well, heavier and stronger in the event of a hit, plus riding higher improves ones chances somewhat...unless a truck is the opponent...
