The WA state government has abandoned plans to use commercial fisherman to carry out its policy to cull sharks over 3m long at public beaches, because the tender winner pulled out due to safety concerns.
They're now going to get Fisheries staff to do it

I'm not much of an activist but I'd be helping in the protest about this. This ridiculous policy on the run will not work and will not only kill protected sharks but anything else that takes the line.
Just scrap the whole stupid plan and go back to the drawing board.
