I think it is a shark fishing free zone from Moore river to busselton for pro's. Started about 18 yrs ago. Nothing wrong with giving fish stocks a free zone but most shark fishers would like to be close to their markets and most sharks are not a problem if they cruise a non populated beach. It's not to hard to reduce the fear factor and increase human safety but simple solutions don't pay the Gov money for grants.
