conejo
Not too many caught down here but the nets have been reduced considerably in the last 25 years. When the Pros did catch them they were around the 5 metre mark and tangled in the nets in very very deep water 20 or more kms from the shore. Nearly every week now there are reports of Great Whites in close with the common size being around 4 metres. I remember about 30 years ago one of the pros brought in a Great White at 5.1 metres. They chopped its head off and it fitted neatly in the tray of a Holden 1 tonne ute. The ute was parked in the pub carpark for every one to view. Geez what a large and gruesome looking critter.
