Oorain seems some never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
To clarify
Drum lines are not long lines.
Drum lines have been proven in Qld to target large tiger, bull and white pointer sharks.
Mesh nets as in NSW are not being used.
IT IS NOT A CULL
A cull is when a species expands rapidly and becomes a problem. eg rabbits, kangaroos. Hunters are then allowed to kill a set number to reduce the problem
The WA measures are not a licence to go out and kill sharks.

We only have a problem when we enter their domain. Yeah how much of the ocean do we use. Tiny areas around popular beaches, can be made safe for our use, the sharks can have the rest.
The fatality at Cot beach happened in ONE metre of water.

The Barnett Govt has a hopeless propaganda machine but then again they have to stick to the facts. Maybe education instead of googling the net is the answer.
