Not sure about the federal implications but the State Govt is the first port of call. Carpenter's ALP stated very clearly there will be no Uranium mining while they are in Govt. They even ran a scare campaign about nuclear waste being transported through the suburbs and past our childrens schools etc under a Lib Govt. This type of trashy campaigning indicates a lack of respect for the punters intelligence and may well have contributed to their loss.

The Libs have previously stated they will look at all options.
