Don't forget the WA Nats candidate who has rolled Wilson Tuckey. Tony Crook is a member of the WA Nats, which is a separate entity to the National body. He is on record as saying that he will not necessarily be counted as a conservative and may even be persuaded to the Labor Party though I see that as a remote possibility frankly.

If the final result is Lab 73 and Libs 73, which looks a strong possibility if the Tassie seat in doubt goes to Labor and Hasluck does go to the Libs, then the three independents will indeed be the king makers and ultimately decide who governs Australia.

I am still calling this as most likely a Liberal minority government with Abbott as PM with the support of the independents.

Whatever way you cut this, it is absolutely fascinating to watch and the next two weeks of jockeying and horse trading will show just what the two major parties are prepared to compromise on in order to take power.
