    genetics? Bad or absent parents, low self esteem, brain wiring, peer groups. Poor parental guidance. Poor gender role models I don’t think there is any single root cause. But then I also think there isn’t a single answer.

    a kid can have a strong moral base and still get into trouble. Good parents and still end up troubled.

    I always wonder though when he goes off onto one of his know all rants how he accounts for thinking it’s ok to live off someone else and still feel entitled to have more, or how he thinks it’s ok to plan and scheme for years while pretending otherwise. Or to cheat. Or have hissy fits for not getting his own way. Or to strangle someone and then cold bloodedly say it shouldn’t have hurt because he was careful. I wonder how he would identify the root causes for such behaviour and the solutions
