Problem with your post is that you are looking back on what did happen and assigning fundamental reasons to the way it all played out. This is exactly what I was talking about with the example I used at the start of my post. And this is exactly what non-believers in TA say: that the charts are just a historical account of what has happened to the SP and not a predictor of the future.

I very much believe in using BOTH TA and FA. I would not be in WA1 if not for the outstanding fundamentals and I do spend time poring over the details of each WA1 announcement.....but also I do try to figure out what is likely to happen next with the SP using TA. I realize we have had a few posters on here believing the SP would crash and their cognitive bias has led them to see what they what they want to see in the charts. That does not help with the credibility of TA overall. I think I have called the swings on WA1 in advance pretty well thus far. I don't always get the TA right with other stocks. If I did I would not here. I would be on my own private island wasting away in Margaritaville,
