US looking to allies for critical mineralsThe US EXIM bank has created a supply chain resilience initiative (SCRI) tool specifically to address increasing critical minerals imports to the US from allies and partner countries. "This provides financing to mining and processing projects that guarantee offtake to US companies," Reggie Singh from the US Department of State's Bureau of Energy Resources told delegates at the 2025 Current Trends in Mining Finance conference in New York, US, on Tuesday.
