So there I was on a trail and noticed I needed to tie up a boot... I sat on this dead log, then bent over to lace it up,
and...saw this right underneath me. Pretty sure I let out a fear fart, as I screamed and jumped off in 2.5 seconds
flat...seriously thought I was now a person who discovered a dead body/body part... so then my toddler side in me,
got curious and I poked it... then saw that it's hooked onto a stem, that goes into the ground. So I whipped out my
handy dandy Google friend and typed in..."foot plant mushroom" and there it was... "dead mans finger/toes fungi".
(Share the awareness. Could possibly save the underwear of a hiker, who didn't think to bring a spare pair or
toilet paper...lol).
