Don’t you think this information is already known and priced in?
Price isn’t a direct 1-to-1 reflection of a company’s fundamentals. It’s a reflection of market participants’ current desire to buy or sell - and how urgently they need to act. It also factors in macroeconomic and geopolitical influences.
Sometimes, the price rises far beyond what the fundamentals justify. Investors get excited and don’t care that it doesn’t reflect reality. Then, when things cool down, many assume that the inflated price is the new baseline - and believe that, because the fundamentals are strong, the price can’t fall below that level. That’s a common mistake.
I think geopolitical risks are easing now, with the tariff story nearing its end and tensions in the Middle East starting to resolve. But there’s no guarantee that something else won’t happen tomorrow. If it does, I’ll just buy back in - I have no problem with that. Personally, though, I’ve closed and sold all my positions in the big gold stocks.In fact, I believe profits are now being taken off the table, and those funds will start searching for opportunities in the small-cap space, which is still very undervalued.
