Just to add to this discussion, I think some have taken the announcement from the Australian Government as a total ban on travel, when that is not actually what a Level 4 ban does.

This article is excellent in pointing out that, in the end, it means that everyone has to undertake the 14 day quarantine period, but... it does not stop all travel full stop. There is no point in that, when you already have COVID-19 in Australia. It would be different if say, Australia had closed it borders (100% closed say, 2 months ago, but... alas, our esteemed prime minister did not want to upset voters, although he may regret that when he sees how many liberal voters don't survive this pandemic )

So to sum up, while its going to be a pain for expats to come and go, its just going to slow everyone down a bit.
