Everyone will have noticed gold has blown past US$1700 so it's not news. 2 signals showed it was coming.
1. The gap between spot and futures gold blew out to $70 at close last week. That stayed over $50 after re-open Sunday.
2. While gold has been defying its traditional role of being inverse to equities over the last few months, yesterday, when the US futures tipped negative, gold stayed slightly positive indicating it had finally found its own legs.
Now to see if the goldies can also defy any drops on the ASX and go up instead. I think they should and if they don't I'll buy up more of WAF and EVN.
