I bought gold in 2004 and has been the best decision I ever made. Pfft a lost decade, from $400AUD to $3000AUD, I never brought again since 2004, I have dabbled in mining stocks Macmin Silver and Bendigo Mining around 2007--2012 but was a small amount of money and they crapped themselves so I didn't come back until 2019, that was then Troy and CDV after selling broke around even, then the coal stocks in 2020 and they made me some money and at the same time I was also invested in DEG and WAF and I moved out of the coal stocks and invested it into the gold stocks, my portfolio has not done that well since then, but I am hopeful
