As for me, I certainly welcome and appreciate any on the ground info. I'm fully aware that to get a clear view on what a situation is in a country on the other side of the world, especially in Africa, mostly relying on research of online sources, often biased, intentionally or not, is a bit of a mission impossible. One just has to form an opinion and be willing to change it if new info demands it, and of course must decide for himself if risks to his investment (or not fully understandind the risks) are to much for him to sleep well or not (relative to expected/potential return). Regarding goldies, majority of mine did not follow the rebound in gold price in the last days of the previous week, but also did not crash yesterday. I guess those that really influence the market movements know more than retail like me…
