The biggest issue atm with BF is that the media sources are all biased. On the one hand, African news services distort reporting by saying the country is triumphantly kicking out all the predatory West operations ending their colonial exploitation and on the other, the Western/French news services all toe the hegemonic line that insidious Russian and Chinese operators are running a de facto coup d'etat on these simple-minded nations while rebel forces run rampant. All of it BS as any well-informed reader can see but it obscures what's really going on. The remaining uncertainty around Traoré's real intentions leaves investors trepidatious. The govt has been reasonably clear on their policy but who trusts the young leader?
