quite a strong rise. Firework Aus wouldn't have had the courage to award such a rise under the Libs. Morrison particularly would have demanded the carers be given nothing.

and of course its the Govt/taxpayers who will pay the increase.

many carers are students in uni.... many doing nursing studies. its a tough slog to keep your income above poverty level while studying f/t. even part-time. this will make it easier for when they do practicum when they're essentially doin full-time hours in the hospitals over 4-6 weeks.

and yes it'll make the work much more attractive.
