Eh when the aussie dollar falls back to the long term average we'll be in line with other countries again.
I would prefer to live in the safety and stability of a country with a liveable minimum wage than one with a working slum poor with 1% higher rate of return.
Why would cutting staff costs increase productivity? Surely staff cost pressure demands innovation in technology. You either get a short term boost that allows managers to be lazy or a company that must increase productivity to compete.
