The hawala system of money transfers many immigrants use also ends up costing non users who don't benefit from the money laundering and exemption from taxation available through hawala.
Its almost rampant where I live and the hawala users have taken over entire industries in my area due to being able to undercut on price , taxi business and restaurants run by a certain ethnicity.
