Personally I think the CO2 will be much higher. BUT I don't think this will be of an immediate concern. Dong Fang has pockets that are almost 100% CO2 and published information has the average rates of the overall field between 10-30%.
So I think as long as the CO2 isn't over 30% then it will be fine.
Not sure where you got the 8% figure from. 8% is very low and the entire Hong Song basin is known for high amounts of CO2.
That is not to say that if the gas has CO2 it is not going to be commercial.
I just think people should have an awareness of what other producing gas fields in the area have. If Dong Fang has ~30% CO2 and is commercial then that is fine. I'd be happy with 30% or less.
It's when the market starts getting above average expectations that it gets sold down for no reason.
