But seeing as you mention it, that great big dud did make fortunes for a lot of people who were shrewd enough to take advantage of it, and a lot did.

My definition is a stock that goes nowhere and does not make me any money.

Your definition may change if you are ever fortunate enough to hold a stock that goes from a few cents to many dollars. It is very sweet and does change your focus on what a dud is.
