That's great maxter,

As a little tacker back in the 60's....to stop me annoying Mum & Dad, they would of course tie a chop around my neck & put me out the backyard to play with the German Shepherd/ Labrador Cross.

Anyhow...after Jackson had finished playing with me in seconds & was too busy chewing the chop bone I'd wander next door (as pretty much no one had/could afford fences back then out our way).
A guy called David next door had a big shed, a fire that always seemed to be going & a steam box.
He was always bending wood & building speed boats in the shed.
He was always happy for me to wander next door & help him clamp wood etc.
He used to tell me how much he wanted a Son (IIRC he ended up with 5 girls instead).
I still have (somewhere) a wooden carry tool box he made me when I was a youngster.

Then he moved away...built a factory in Vinter ave that everytime I rode my bike past it smelt like fiberglass.

His business was called Gilflite.
