Wow mate, I enjoy posting here because there is always someone who comes back and adds to my thoughts - I did not know about P&W in the Beaus, but not surprised.
I always thought sleeve valves a bit strange but for a radial that design appears to reduce the overall diameter of the engine without poppets sticking out the top.
Love the Sabre, a 3000hp+ in line piston engine with added thrust from the turbo charger exhaust - too complicated of course and liquid cooled which is bad news for a war plane, and then you face the limits of propeller design.
I reckon our management would have thought the would have the permit within a week when they put out the ann that rigs were on site - so surely it must come soon. Spare a thought for RB and his crew, they must be fully pissed off.
But anyway Zen, some of the Alpacas are topping up (I'm spent) and the market depth looks healthy, just a little bump at 2.4c - getting the timing right is all important.
