Lucky bugger.
Along with the Spitfire they were among the most beautiful of the WW2 aircraft.
In my garage I have what I believe is an engine valve out of a Mustang. It is a big bugger I can tell you.
I got it from my Dad who was up in Darwin during the war keeping anything mechanical going.
We can only imagine how much zinc, copper and other metals that Inca are looking for would be needed to keep them all flying during the war.
