I think the real answer may lie in that word "processed".
Whole foods are the way to go. It's just a shame that the people who need them most (those les well off and unable to afford "boutique" food - Boutique!! Is that what "normal", "healthy" and "natural" mean now? But it is true that eating well is now expensive.
I think even meat (as it used to be produced) is beneficial and can be considered a "whole food" (say for those on farms eating their own stock), even though they have "faces and Mums"but I won't be dogmatic about that and I respect and understand the choice of avoiding that category.
