True story about car keys.
Many moons ago now, I once owned a V8 VB Commodore Wagon.
Any key you could poke 10mm into the driver's door lock would open it. Any key you could poke 10mm into the ignition would start it. You could also pull the key straight out of the ignition with the car running + the steering wheel locking mechanism never worked from day one.
So, one morning I walked out the door at 4am, started the car & realised I hadn't grabbed my lunch out the fridge
Just pulled the keys straight out & with the car running went & unlocked the house door to get my lunch
Inadvertently I put my keys on the bench as I grabbed my plate of leftovers out of the fridge, then just snipped the front door locked & pulled it closed on my way out.
Then drove the 45 mins to work.
Got there & realised what I'd done & that I couldn't unlock my workplace !
So turned around & drove all the way back home & knocked on the door until the Wife woke up so She could grab my keys off the bench for me.
Then it was back off to work....bit off a late start that morning.
