Bmddle , over the years I’ve researched CTO more than most , in the end when I sold my shares the gold price at that time I think was about 1200 au I estimated then that they actually needed about 2500 au to break even . The deposit is big but spread over a huge area. And from my research in the end the actuall vertical Oz per meter v the amount of material needed to be removed didn’t,t make it all that rich . There has been some big company’s hold the ground previously yet they let it go , ,why wasn’t it mined in the 1980 gold rush , lots of barren areas between rich pods , plus modern OHS rules , very hard rock , quite narrow reefs , make it an expensive mine to operate.
