Because I've been around a long time ,I've held political views from far left to the way I think now . I've travelled very extensively , I've raised a family ,I was brought up in the toughest area in Melbourne and got to mix with very wealthy well connected people and learnt that I preferred being with the former.
I'm also highly intelligent and educated ,I try to read widely with the overriding cynicism that I think has always been part of my makeup .
I can say unequivocally that my kids are wet behind the ears when it comes to having the rounding to evaluate things clearly .
I'm not silly enough to think that I'm completely right but I'm fairly sure that the views that my kids hold will ,over the course of the next 30 or 40 years ,be seen for the naive populist bunkum that I think they are . But I'm more than happy for them to have those views , we have a lot of fun discussing it.
There's an honest answer for you .
What's your claim to fame ?
