    I agree with your thoughts Abroath, better to have cash in ngf over the bank atm.

    Considering that deflation has begun setting in the world economy with slowdowns in the chinese and Indian economies what wonders me is how a steep rise in POG could increase our chances of a counter offer should more quantitave easing/money printing be announced within the next couple of months (US election year, Obama might create stimulus to dodgy up the unemployment figures prior to election).

    With the majority of goldies mid tier within the country only NCM could have the cash to effectively place a counter bid, not sure if rio or bhp are big on gold mining in Australia considering the issues they're having with coal mining wage disputes.
