Wake up citizens of Planet Earth

I think any visiting extraterrestrial race would be well advised to steer clear of Planet Earth!!! By all means, keep a watchful eye on us but for your own safety, don't land the mothership just yet fellas.

It's quite obvious that as a species we're not yet ready to evolve. Right now Earth is our macrocosm. It's all we know! To the Universe however, Earth is just a tiny, microbial spec spinning around in the vastness of space. The Universe sees Earth as a whole. A single entity. The same way any visiting alien race would see us ... at first!!!

Upon closer examination, they'd quickly realise we're a completely insane, fractured race of beings totally obsessed with killing each other, worshiping figments of our imaginations (religion), pursuing material gain and destroying our environment. We might think we've come a long way but the human psyche is still divided by superstition and ignorance into fragmented sub-sections all pulling in different directions.

We might call it cultural diversity and think it's something to celebrate and behold but really the evidence suggests it's more likely the seed of social and economical disparity, tension and ultimately conflict.

I'm not suggesting we should all morph into some androgynous looking, hive-minded cyborg but perhaps the human race would do well to step back and have a good hard look at itself!
