What we need and we were heading for until a few yeras ago was an international system of law and government.
This would create a more level playing field among nations - not to the liking of the US because they prefer their dominant status which fell to them by accident after WW2 and which has been maintained by a general attitude of acceptance by western countries, because American predominance has been somewhat more benign than previous empires.
But not any more. Now they want to keep their global military controls and seize the resources to maintain their quality of life. Which means all of a sudden that international structures like the UN and the International Court of Justice must be discredited and their authority must not encompass the US.
The strategy they have adopted to secure their super-class is so blatant now that it has alarmed the rest of the world. An analogy is the attitude of the white settlers to the Red Indians - their value is nothing compared to ours. And that is how they see the rest of the world.
