    Just finished my last night shift on the covid ward. As a doctor informing the family of a patient passing is heart breaking. They can't visit and see the body via zoom call.

    while it is true that mostly elderly or those with co morbidities pass away. I have seen plenty of young 25 year olds seriously unwell in ICU.

    the health system is barely holding on. The fact that mortality rate isn't to bad is due to our relatively low case numbers. If our hospital is overwhelmed we would have to triage those that get to live or die.

    In short. Getting a vaccine is your choice, it ultimately benefits society as you are less likely to take up a hospital bed when vaccinated. Furthermore from my experience anybody not vaccinated over 50 is seriously putting their life at risk. Healthy or not. Age is a factor.
