i think it is possible to compartmentalise - I can distinguish performance and accidents. i am perfectly comfortable having compassion in one matter and judging on others. Head and heart are different.

But of those victims a large number of them were in federal run and private sector aged care homes. so i think if you are going to look at responsibility you can also look at who should wear some blame for that - a good look at St Basils will make most people gag in horror. those facilities with poor practices performed significantly worse than others.
