Hi Sundance, when the Chinese indicated to the Standard Bank that they have considerable interest in providing debt and equity funding to the Mbalam-Nabeba project, they are really telling the Cameroon and Republic of Congo governments that they intend to take up equity in the project.
Taking up equity can take various forms.
There is now clarity for Beijing after AGM outcome to make a move.
