"No one would believe that they actually tried to hurt him..."
".....however I also think the family in their grief look to lay blame somewhere"

Yes, I think the normal banter you get in relation to urging a bowler to bowl a certain way is a bit different to the personal sledging that has everyone offside in recent years. It is very common for fielders to implore the bowler to "whistle one around his ears" (ok, often much stronger terms than that) The suggestion that a group were chanting for Phillip Hughes to be killed is way over the top, even though there may well have been some language (at some stage) along the lines of let's kill him.....let's take it all in context. Evidence was given that it was not happening at the time anyway and I certainly don't know (If anyone has been an umpire you will realise they hear everything!!)
As I said early reports were of Hughes saying something along the lines of Warner was one of the group that killed his brother, a sledge that would cut deep to the heart of someone who was on the field at the time and also was a personal friend and prompted my initial comment about irony.
As I said I also have no doubt everyone realised those comments should not be in the public domain in respect for Phillip Hughes and his family or even at their request, so all involved just moved on.
The real issue is that it appears many seem to confuse the issues and in effect are using Phillip Hughes death as another strike against an unpopular player (Warner)
Warner will justifiably have enough to contend with if he keeps playing but fairs fair.
