The Boeing orders are interesting because Airbus is full with orders from last year; Boeing will have to take up the slack for late orders. Good for the airline industries. Pity the US home auto industry is so behind the times; if they had a big export market they would be producing cars and trucks that reflected the price of oil.
Also the US economy may be benefiting from the Iraq war, if there was mention of a pull out many industries would collapse, not to mention all those troops coming home and being tipped on the job market.
