performance fees are pretty standard with global funds.
Magellan global trust 1.35% + 10%
PM capital 1% + 15% ( + GST )
Platinum capital 1.10% + 15%
Antipodes 1.1% + 15%
the WAM Australian funds WAX, WAM, WLE, WAA also charge performance fees
but that has not stopped them outperforming the market and beating the pants off
the traditional low fee LICs such as AFI, Argo and Milton who don't charge performance fees.
Higher fees with great track record of much higher performance
or low fees with long track record of underperformance : I know which I prefer
