I agree with your other comment that price goes up & down from time to time and that is the nature of stock market however LIC supposed to be actively managed funds not ETF which mostly track index and passive managed funds. Hence LIC fund manager should atleast make sure that total return (capital + divi) is close to benchmark they are tracking and at no point bonus is to be issued to fund manager if they can't maintain capital growth at least equal or better then inflation... IMO.
