Actually go back and take the 10 year figures of dividends and see if it could ever add up to a reasonable difference. Maybe it it is time to blow the myth and explain to people that investment is detail not hype. I am not going to do your work for you but logically if the difference is say 80% over 10 years then it could have paid a 10% dividend.
