Ok - not a bad idea- national service is not conscription.
National service can have some very good arguments for it as an advantage for a nation.
BUT
Rishi isn’t promising national service for all.
Rushi isn’t promising national service by ballot
Rishi is promising national service for only people like young unemployed
wow- now think this through
the conservatives are complaining about refugees, they are complaining about Muslims and people from Africa who come to the UK and are unemployed
so now Rishi wants to offer these very people the opportunity to learn and be paid for it - military skills - how to use military weapons and explosives
he’s offering to train the very people that the conservatives consider as dangerous people - he’s going to teach them how to shoot, to fight and to blow things up
