The story is more "elaborated" than ones I have read before about these laughing clowns but it's built on facts. There was a lot of mainstream press about the arrests which wasn't taken up by the big news services.
In fact it seems the Americans were quick to believe the Israelis may have been involved (especially since two Mossad operatives were watching the terrorists training to fly planes and had warned the FBI but got deported for their trouble several weeks before 9/11.
Lucky for the "tourists", Israeli culprits were not part of the plot. Otherwise, they would have been charged convicted and smoked - guilty or not.
A disgusting business and I say to those who want to deport all muslims - deport all jews as well (at least the Israeli sympathisers).
