here is an excellent example of why Australia will be left in the dust of poverty and bypassed by the world in a few very short years as technology races on leaving us with nothing but a dusty land.

It's not new -- a mate and I invented and patented a seat for use in spacecraft which got over many issues in space travel - the seat we had actually initially designed for bed ridden hospital patients with high risks of bed sores, but, along the way the idea was warmed to by a group that were working on space craft.
The point is - we got absolutely zero assistance from government - not a zot - they didn't even have contacts - which were really important at that stage because it was long before the www was invented - so, communications wasn't easy.
