Kulkote is a competitor company.

Kulkote was registered as a business in Utah in August 2016 and is based in New Jersey. Its Kulkote PCM product only became available in late 2016 and the company was already a Gold Sponsor of the February 2017 ISPA Conference (for sleep products). However, the company has connections with the bedding industry which go back much further.

Kulkote is a spin-out from Simalfa/Alfa Adhesives, a small chemical company which specialises in water-based adhesives. Simalfa commenced operation in the early 1990s. Simalfa adhesive is designed for bonding foams and other substrates of all types, in multiple industries and applications, but especially bedding.

It’s unclear which mattress brands are supplied with Kulkote but the company website does reveal that Sleepmaker is a certified partner.

The CEO of Simalfa/Kulkote since 1994 is Darren Gilmore. He also happens to be a keen cyclist and skier….
